Position Title:   SAP Support Analyst level I 

 

Position Summary:

  1. Ability to Architect and design multi-server SAP NW Java implementations on both Linux and Windows
  2. Install/Upgrade and Configure SAP NW Java on both Linux and Windows
  3. Manage Java security including applying security models, groups and users
  4. Create and manage JCO’s, apply Java patches, use of SUM tool, configtool
  5. Script tabadmin, tabcmd tasks to automate routine tasks
  6. Rest API setup and configuration
  7. Importing AD groups
  8. Setup and implementation of SSO, Kerberos and https
  9. Collection of log files per vendor request
  10. Configure SAP NW Web Dispatchers in conjunction with hardware load balancer
  11. Configure High Availability solution within SAP NW Java
  12. Configuration of SLD including importing of CR Content
  13. Management of Java SCS
  14. Able to perform Java backup and restore
  15. Ability to establish connectivity between SAP NW Java systems and SAP ABAP systems
  16. Establish DAA with Solution Manager and Wily
  17. Setup of Early Watch reports

Required Skills/Experience:

  1. Understanding Technical and Customer business objectives and operating in an enterprise wide environment. Provide consulting advice, where necessary, on implementing solutions using both SAP NW Java and company developed best practices. Work closely with both experienced IT staff and have the ability to develop less experienced staff in SAP NW Java.
  2. Ability to support and optimize large SAP NW Java landscape on both Linux and Windows.  This includes working with Application teams on frequent troubleshooting exercises and urgent, high visibility requests. Must be excellent communicator who can provide frequent updates to management teams, when necessary. Can work in a challenging environment with global teams and customers. Can participate in on-call 24/7 rotations with Basis team providing system administration support of SAP NW Java systems.
  3. Ability to not only resolve system related issues with application teams but to also perform root cause analysis to permanently resolve issues
  4. Experience with supporting SAP NetWeaver Java 7.x on Windows VM servers
  5. Linux experience required
  6. Ability to deploy Java objects throughout the landscape
  7. Experience with creating connections to various source systems such as Oracle, SQL Server, SAP BW systems
  8. Must be customer focused
  9. SAP Certified Technology Associate – System Administration with SAP NetWeaver 7.x required
