Halloween is right around the corner and in honor of the spookiest time of the year, we thought we’d head to the Lonestar State to see if like everything else there, their Halloween celebrations were bigger too.  Below some of our favorites!

Dia de los Muertos Festival

Downtown Dallas will be celebrating its inaugural Dia de los Muertos festival and parade this weekend on October 26th! There will be live music, arts and crafts, and even a fireworks show! The festival starts at 4 pm and the parade starts at 5 pm. Be sure not to miss this new fun tradition!

Halloween Costume Ball and the Halloween Night Masquerade

If you’re looking for something that’s adults-only, Altitude the rooftop bar at the W Dallas Victory Hotel has two great options for you! First is also on the 26th, the Halloween Costume Ball. The event begins at 9 pm and tickets start at $35. The other option is on the 31st itself and is aptly called the Halloween Night Masquerade. Wear a costume to either event and you’ll even go home with favors!

Halloweekend

What could be better than the Zoo and Halloween? We’re going with nothing! If you agree, head over to the Dallas Zoo this weekend for Halloweekend which includes trick or treating around the zoo, pumpkin patches and even a beer garden for the grown-ups in the group. While costumes are encouraged, please avoid those with full masks.

Autumn at the Arboretum

This one especially goes out to all our Charlie Brown fans, as this year’s theme at Autumn at the Arboretum is It’s The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown. The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden plays host yet again to over 90,000 pumpkins in the magical display of the fall season. Be sure to head over soon though, the display is only open till October 31st.

If all these events sound like a real treat and you’re sold on Dallas but are looking for a new opportunity in the area, reach out to us, we’re hiring!
