Accountant III

Job Summary: Our client is looking for a candidate to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports to determine or maintain record of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, or other financial activities within an organization. The candidate will be responsible for analyzing and communicating financial information for clients.

Duties:

  • Prepare, examine or analyze accounting records, financial statements or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards
  • Assist with capitalization, depreciation, and verification of Company’s asset location and utilization
  • Responsible for assisting with eCom program reconciliation, including GRV and Access review, along with open item identification, and assisting AR with identifying billing points / communications with customer
  • Responsible for eCom promotion reconciliation and reporting, with some involvement with Company’s Reward Point accounting
  • Prepare accounting documentation/memos for significant transactions including accounting application and compliance
  • Responsible for internal reporting and control testing requirements as required by the parent of the Company
  • Responsible for various accounting accruals, including ad hoc responsibility and projects as they arise
  • Responsible for month-end closing, audit request, and journal entry preparation

Desired Skills/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related financial discipline required, advanced degree in a financial discipline is preferred
  • 5-7 years financial and/or accounting experience within industry required
  • 3-7 years if experience is within Public Accounting
  • Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and critical thinking
  • Ability to work independently and manage one's time
  • Ability to apply accounting principles to work as needed
  • Ability to analyze business trends, consolidate eCom revenue, CGS and expenses, as well as provide concise. but effective reporting to management
  • Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards and company policies, procedures and regulations as related to accounting
  • Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and Corporate Accounting Software
