Telecom Project Manager

Job Summary: Responsibilities will include managing scope and schedule in coordination with IT delivery teams, full budget and fiscal responsibility, project and executive status and reporting, maintaining high quality and timely delivery of projects. Candidate must be a self-starter and who can think like an owner and has the ability to learn and understand what makes the business customer tick so that they can anticipate needs and issues.


  • Work on Telemetry program projects
  • Manage and control aspects of project delivery (triple constraint)
  • Perform end to end project management on 4-10 projects simultaneously
  • Manages communications to satisfy the needs of, and resolve issues with, project stakeholders; brokers consensus among stakeholders—manages conflict; gains stakeholder trust and fosters good relations; builds loyalty

Desired Skills/Experience:

  • 5-7 years of practical project management experience
  • PMP preferred
  • Telecommunications and/or telemetry experience preferred
  • Experience with Agile and/or Waterfall methodology
  • Meets deadlines while balancing multiple priorities; is passionate to succeed; acts as internal advocate for project; holds self-responsible for project outcomes; stays calm under pressure; works effectively and efficiently
  • Adapts to new, different, or changing requirements; quickly grasps new concepts; adapts to reflect lessons learned; comfortable with ambiguity
  • Produces desired outcomes without exertion of force or direct exercise of command; gets people to change position or course of action through conversation and debate
  • Methodically analyzes and evaluates; defines problem/challenge, identifies alternatives and makes timely decisions
  • Exhibits comfort and poise with lower- to senior-level audiences; tailors communication style and delivery to different audiences; uses effective listening skills to gain clarification from others; appropriately expresses one’s own opinion and makes points clearly and concisely; strong facilitation skills; writes clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication vehicles and styles
