Technical Delivery Manager

Job Summary: Our fortune 500 client is looking to add a Technical Delivery Manager to the team to support a high visibility project and portfolio to enable a better experience for employees and customers. This consultant will have an entrepreneur spirit, is self-motivated, and has compassion towards their teams and customer. The Technical Delivery Manager owns delivery and is ultimately responsible for development project leadership, management, quality, and timely / cost-effective delivery. The Delivery Manager must work effectively with upper management and multiple stakeholders and to apply customer relationship management practices, including the identification of appropriate, mutually agreed objectives. The Delivery Manager must also be able to lead technical personnel (Development Leads, Systems Analysts, Developers, Testers), provide input to functional design and architecture, track and resolve technical issues during build and test phases, and overall to successfully develop and deliver technical solutions.

Duties: 

  • Provide overall development leadership, and direct teams in the delivery of high-quality products on time and within budget
  • Manage business requirements and scope on a technical level, and coordinate between cross-functional teams to ensure product adherence to business requirements and architectural direction
  • Coordinate work effort in analysis, development, testing, release management and quality assurance and partner with business liaison teams to ensure alignment of technical solutions to business objectives and priorities
  • Coordinate with the development teams to ensure the right teams are working on the right build components at the right time, with clear expectations of milestones and goals
  • Provide key input / status to senior-level business stakeholders during all phases of the technical process
  • Work with cross functional teams and stakeholders with roadmap sessions and business KPI reviews

Desired Skills/Experience: 

  • 5+ years of management or project lead experience required
  • Have gained professional skills in the following areas: Technical Program Management, Technical Project Management, Release Management, Scrum Master
  • Experience in project management disciplines scope, schedule, budget, risk, and issue management
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills
  • Able to triage issues across multiple systems and drive technical issues to resolution
  • Able to lead by influence up, down, and across an organization
