Senior Software Engineer

Job Summary: Team is looking to scale up and automate and streamline their financial processes. They are looking for a mid-level/sr Software Engineer to integrate data from their existing legacy application to a new application. For this specific role we are looking for a Senior Backend Software Engineer to add experience to our fast-growing team. You will be responsible for developing scalable, robust and high-performance solutions to build upon our logistics software.


  • Design and implement integration code as microservices to enable data integration
  • Create financial automation workflows to satisfy order processing, accounting and compliance needs
  • Work closely with a cross functional team of product managers and engineers to deliver quality services through testing and comprehensive code reviews
  • Participate in scrum estimations, daily stand-ups, and sprint retrospectives
  • Mentor more junior engineers as they develop their development skills

Desired Skills/Experience:

  • Experience developing web-based applications
  • Ruby/Ruby on Rails (experience in a professional setting required)
  • SQL (candidate will use sql to run queries, data mine and create a database schema)
  • Experience working in Agile environment, two weeks sprint planning, etc.
  • Curious/Product focused mindset and willingness to ask questions to figure out what needs to be done instead of being directed to do a task
  • Experience with RESTful API design/implementation or experience consuming APIs
  • Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins CICD, AWS, Heroku, GIT, Slack, JIRA
