Product Manager

$52.50-$75.00 (est. hourly)

Job Summary: 
The product marketing manager will work with Networking/SD-WAN, Managed Security, and other Managed Network Services to help further product penetration and support launches of new capabilities. The contractor will lead or support Go To Market planning, provide guidance to marketing and sales enablement partners and work with product managers to grow products. This position requires previous experience in a product marketing or similar role within the technology industry. 

  • Work with product managers to identify, articulate, and convey product value to target markets
  • Support Marketing teams with product and persona targeting profiles, messaging, solution stories and use cases, and identifying product-specific content, acquisition or upsell communication requirements 
  • Identify the buyer journey and advocate for ways to help Sales and Marketing accelerate opportunities the path to purchase
  • Develop or maintain messaging and positioning for products and be an advocate for product capabilities and competitive advantages 
  • Support Sales and Sales Enablement initiatives by developing and providing tools or talk tracks that help them understand the market opportunity and how to convey product value, such as battle cards, conversation starters and product presentations
  • Work with Sales and Product teams to identify or support product incentives to help sellers penetrate the market 
  • Lead new product launches or feature enhancement by developing Go To Market plans and then specifying and ensuring project team completion of effective and market-valuable deliverables needed from Product Management, Product Marketing, Marketing and Sales teams
  • Support product initiatives, such as businesses cases, with root cause analysis or market-based research that can provide an outside-in marketplace perspective
  • Facilitate product meetings to educate boundary partners on product and project status
Desired Skills/Experience:
  • Bachelors required, Masters degree highly desired
  • 7+ years professional experience
  • 3+ years experience in Product, segment or solutions marketing experience 
  • Demonstrated experience in messaging product value and creating Go To Market plans
  • Experience marketing to CIOs or the IT community
  • Previous experience or familiarity in telecommunications services or networking, collaboration/UC, security, wireless or internet services is a big plus
  • Competent in MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Exceptional communication skills both written and in presentations
  • Ability to synthesize and summarize complex information to clear, important points
  • Keen analytical capabilities to evaluate market conditions and make fact-based recommendations in a quick, compelling manner
  • Comfortable presenting to large or executive audiences
  • Able to quickly understand and learn applicable networking related products
