Imaging Software Engineer

Job Description: Our client is looking for an Imaging Software Engineer to join their team! This worker will be an Imaging Software Engineer that is able to take devices such as cameras and sensors to connect to a system or automation device. They will write code and test their code themselves onsite in STL to work with the Mechanical and Electrical Engineers

  • Develop software solutions by studying information needs, conferring with users, and studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes
  • Responsible for driving one or more functional areas within IT, designing and implementing new solutions, technologies and concepts within the area of expertise
  • Design, modify, develop, and implement solutions
  • Support and/or install applications/operating systems
  • Participate in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing and certification of software
  • Follow best practices for software development and follows the software development lifecycle
  • Communicate the imaging-related software development requirements/timelines with other teams and update the key stakeholders periodically
  • Design, build, maintain, and document reusable code
  • Troubleshoot existing software and proficiently debugs code
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical discipline
  • 4+ years of experience
  • Deep understanding and demonstrated proficiency in C++, Python, and/or Javascript
  • Familiar with different imaging technologies and image modalities.
  • Proficient in computer vision, imaging processing and/or calibration domains
  • Experience using version control
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience working with integrating imaging and sensing devices
  • Basic understanding of deep learning techniques
