Job Description: Our client is seeking a Spatial Data Scientist to join their team! He/She/They will be responsible for analyzing large amounts of spatial data to determine the trends and models to better understand performance and placement. This is an ambitious team focused on making a major impact across the company by building creative data science solutions to enable the expansion of models to other world regions. The team is currently working on projects at the discovery phase as well as production, where changes come fast and we have the ability to help define what success will look like. Responsibilities:
  • Manipulate, transform, and perform exploratory analysis on large and diverse datasets to support model building on field trial design and analysis
  • Develop and improve existing models using diverse techniques that include, but are not limited to, machine learning and statistical modeling
  • Support model production and work closely with other Science, Engineering and Product teams for model implementation
  • Write robust and well-documented code to deliver impactful scientific research
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Master's degree or PhD in a quantitative discipline
  • Spatial Background and Spatial Data experience
  • Strong Python and data analysis skills
  • Strong communication skills for interactions with team members
  • Experience using tools for big datasets, such as SQL and PySpark
  • Experience with complex data formats and data of varying quality
  • Experience building data pipelines and interacting with APIs
