Job Summary:  Our client is seeking a Software Lab Technician to join their team.  The primary responsibilities of a Software Lab Technician are providing exceptional support to the V&V and/or project engineers with minimal guidance of senior technical support.  In this role, you will be assisting fellow colleagues in performing day to day tasks, satisfying our customer’s needs, and execution of product testing.

  • Work under the supervision of a laboratory manager
  • Conduct testing, document results and perform various laboratory functions
  • Execute formal test protocols
  • Document detailed test results in support of advanced development, New Product Development, Quality, Life Cycle, and Product Supply functions
  • Problem Solving and troubleshooting of PC and Server devices
  • Assist design, verification, and validation engineering teams in testing devices to determine if requirements are being met
  • Document software defects using a bug tracking system and report defects to developers
  • Identify, analyze, and document problems with program function, output, online screen, or content
Desired Skills/Experience:
  • Associates Degree and 2 years of relevant experience
  • Multi-faceted mechanical assembly or inspection skills
  • Understanding of company's quality systems policies
  • Ability to perform technical writing
  • Ability to adapt quickly to fast-paced changing situations
  • Demonstrated adaptability and teamwork skills
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and visual work instructions
  • Possesses the analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve basic technical problems

  • Proficient in the technical skills and knowledge necessary to function in a single technical discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, QA, V&V, etc.)
  • Possesses the analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve basic technical problems
  • Works under supervision and collaborates with engineers and higher- level technical staff to conduct and document identified technical activities
  • May provide guidance to lower-level designers/technicians (training, mentoring, or coaching)
  • Possesses the analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve basic technical problems
  • Effective verbal and written communication along with good interpersonal skills, including ability to manage confidential information
  • Problem Solving and troubleshooting of PC and Server devices
  • Experience with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
  • Willing to problem solve and investigate software issues within our Injector software builds
  • Understand and maintain a LAN Connection with several PC’s and Servers
  • Experience with Windows 7/10 Operating systems
  • Ability to follow direction, follow written procedures, strong computer skills, work with minimal supervision, and ability to use basic hand tools
  • Experience working in FDA and ISO regulated industries and/or working within a controlled cleanroom manufacturing environment preferred
  • Experience with SAP preferred
  • Experience with preventative maintenance programs and systems preferred
  • Experience with providing or delivering technical training preferred
  • Experience with OSHA regulations including LOTO and Arc Flash requirements preferred
