Title: Jr Packager - Application Delivery Administration


Job Description & Responsibilities

As a member of the Application Delivery team, you will create, test and deploy software packages, security patches and OS updates to a large and distributed enterprise.  You are detailed and process-oriented with strong communication skills, and will bring experience in Windows Desktop OS, PowerShell, and SCCM, and familiarity with Mac OS and Apple scripting.

  • Engage Application Owners/Developers/Vendors as needed to execute on technical solutions
  • Create application packages in MSI and/or Virtual format
  • Maintain windows updates using Configuration Manager 2012
  • Create deployment plans that mitigate risk, minimize conflict, and optimize level of effort
  • Perform testing across small deployment populations, documenting results and remediating issues prior to large scale deployments
  • Create partnerships with support teams ensuring they’re aware of desktop changes and have an opportunity to provide feedback
  • Own and implement process and technical improvements including process documentation and compliance improvements
  • Provide third level support on packages, deployment, and windows update issues
  • Provide desktop troubleshooting support during high impact events
  • Provide automated solutions to alleviate issues that require manual technical intervention
  • Engage with support and project teams as needed to provide packaging and deployment support


Skills, Experiences, Knowledge

  • Associate’s degree or Military Experience
  • 2+ years experience in Windows desktop systems management in a large enterprise environment
  • 1+ years experience with PowerShell and/or desktop scripting


Nice-to-have skills/experiences

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 2+ years experience with SCCM administration
  • 1+ years experience in Mac OS and Apple scripting
