Job Description & Responsibilities

Upstream Business IT has an immediate opening for applications programmer/analytics role.The job will be as a member of a team that will be moving a large number of users from one active directory domain to a new domain. The person will assist the project is gathering data, performing analytics, and creating automated processes for migrations and management of change. 

Primary Job Functions 

  • Programming scripts to automate domain migration processes 
  • Extracting data from existing systems to identify users, applications, roles, and accesses for domain migrations
  • Creating dashboards for management of change processes 

 

Skills, Experiences, Knowledge

Job Requirements 

  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a closely related field

Prior work experience: 

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in IT industry with proven technical capability
  • Proven programming experience programming and delivering automated solutions
  • Data analytics capability

Technical Knowledge: 

  • Programming skills (C#, Java, APIs, etc.)
  • Scripting languages and tools (JavaScript, PowerShell, Python, SQL etc.)
  • Structured and unstructured data models and database management (SQL, Oracle, etc.)
  • BI visualization tools (Spotfire, PowerBI, Tableau etc.)
  • Knowledge of Active Directory 

Other skills: 

  • Strong communication skills – must be able to interact with stakeholders and team members to solicit cooperation and resolve problems
  • Adaptability to time pressures and changing priorities
  • Willing to work in a highly collaborative environment as a team player
