We just returned from an excellent conference from the Society for Information Management (SIM), St. Louis Chapter. SIM is an non-profit that brings together IT leaders and decision-makers for networking, leadership development and community outreach programs. KellyMitchell’s own Kim Paxton is the SIM St. Louis Vice President of Marketing, and we’re proud to help make events like this a success! We kicked off the two-and-a-half day SIM St. Louis Leadership Workshop with a networking reception, including some activities that supported the “Future of Leadership” theme. Bob Rouse, Professor Emeritus at Washington University, facilitated the event, providing intriguing and engaging conversation topics, breakouts and discussions. We would like to extend a special thanks to all of our guest speakers:
Rob Reeg, President, Global Technology and Operations of MasterCard
Ed Corno, CTO at HPES
Mary Heger, Vice President, Information Technology at Ameren
Robert Barnes, General Manager at Microsoft
Peter Whatnell, CIO at Sunoco Oil
We also had the opportunity to embark on personalized training from Eagle’s Flight in regards to “Leading an Empowered Workforce,” followed by a fun evening at Busch Stadium enjoying the Cardinals game.
Thanks again to John Krewson and the Planning Committee from the SIM St. Louis Chapter for planning and organizing this event – it was an amazing way to wrap up the summer – and to Edward Jones for providing our meeting facilities; the accommodations were exceptional!
