Tips for Working with a Technical Recruiter (Part 2 of 3)

Our first tips included meeting face-to-face, being honest and listening to our advice. Here are a few more bits of advice to how to get the best results when working with an IT recruiter.

Be Proactive

We know you’re in a hurry to find a new opportunity, so here are a few tips on how you can speed up the placement process. Before we can submit your information to our client, we will need the most current version of your resume, 3 professional references, and of course, a meeting with you! Often time is of the essence when new positions are available, so make sure that you have all of this information handy when you start working with a recruiter.

Be Available

It is important to be accessible during the placement process. Let your recruiter know the best way to reach you throughout the work day, via phone and email. Often times our clients need information or resumes immediately, so we need to be able to get in touch with you quickly to schedule interviews, submit your information, and get you placed!

Keep Us Updated

Keep us updated as you move throughout your job search process. As changes come up in regards to your availability, education or employment status, let us know. New developments in your job search, degrees or certifications help us redefine our search process for you.

We look forward to finding the perfect placement for you. Stay tuned for the final installment of helpful hints!
